Short version: POLANA collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your sessions, your glade and everything you write in the app stay on your phone. The app sends anonymous usage statistics that cannot identify you, and you can turn them off. It works without an internet connection.
Anonymous usage statistics
To learn how POLANA is used and what to improve, the app sends short anonymous events to Aptabase, a privacy-first analytics service with servers in the EU. For example: the app was opened, a step of the introduction or the practice session was shown, a session started or ended (its size, how many minutes, the kind of tag such as work or study, whether app blocking was on), a thing was built, a glade was finished, you travelled to another place, the language, the look or the sound was changed.
The events never contain what you write: not your first or next steps, not your thoughts for later and not the names of your own tags (an own tag is sent only as “own”). Each event also carries the app version, the system and its version, the device model, the language and a random session number that changes at every launch. There is no advertising ID, no device ID, no account and nothing that links events to you. Aptabase uses your IP address only to work out the country and does not store it. We do not use the statistics for advertising and do not sell or share them.
You can switch this off at any time: Menu → Settings → Anonymous stats. Events not yet sent are then deleted.
What stays on your phone
POLANA keeps on your device: your glade and the places you have visited, the history of your sessions (when, how long, the tag, what was built), your settings and tags, the first and next steps you write and your thoughts for later. None of it leaves your phone through the app. Your phone's own backup (iCloud) may include it, as it does for any app, so it moves with you to a new phone. Deleting the app deletes it.
“Share” in Thoughts for later opens the system share sheet; what you send and to whom is your choice.
Blocking apps (Screen Time)
If you turn on blocking, POLANA asks for Screen Time access through Apple's Family Controls. You choose the apps in Apple's own picker. POLANA receives only opaque tokens for them: it cannot see which apps you chose, what you do in them or how long you use them. The choice is kept on your phone and the apps are shielded only during your sessions. You can turn this off in Settings, or remove the access in the iOS Settings app under Screen Time.
Notifications and the lock screen
The reminders, the “time's up” and “break's over” messages, the weekly summary and the timer on the lock screen (Live Activity) are all made on your phone. Nothing is sent to a server to show them.
Children
POLANA is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
This website
This website is hosted by Vercel and uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It uses no cookies and does not identify visitors. It remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. Vercel may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Changes
If the app ever starts handling data differently (for example, if we add purchases or syncing between devices), we will update this page before that version is released and change the date above.
Legal basis (EU): our legitimate interest in improving the app; the statistics are anonymous and can be switched off in the app.

Możesz to w każdej chwili wyłączyć: Menu → Ustawienia → Anonimowe statystyki.
Blokowanie aplikacji (Czas przed ekranem)
Wyłączysz to w Ustawieniach POLANY albo odbierzesz dostęp w ustawieniach iOS, w sekcji Czas przed ekranem.
Powiadomienia i ekran blokady
Zmiany
Jeśli aplikacja zacznie kiedyś inaczej obchodzić się z danymi (np. dodamy zakupy albo synchronizację między urządzeniami), zaktualizujemy tę stronę przed wydaniem tej wersji i zmienimy datę powyżej.
Podstawa prawna (UE): nasz prawnie uzasadniony interes w ulepszaniu aplikacji; statystyki są anonimowe i można je wyłączyć w aplikacji.
